Chimanimani honey processing group recieves $100 000 from the International Labour Organisation (ILO)

A Chimanimani honey processing group has received a $100 000 fund from the International Labour Organisation (ILO) as part of efforts to support income generating projects by women in Manicaland.

The fund, which will be disbursed through the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, is earmarked to support the third 100 days cycle of activities.

Speaking to Diamond FM, the ministry's provincial administrative officer for Manicaland, Mr Confidence Mungayi said Genstar honey processing centre would commence production soon.

He also said the ministry had developed a database of existing projects in the province that are doing well with hopes of supporting community based initiatives with funding.
