The Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (CZR) has called on government to intervene in the current price hikes which retailers are also victims of.

Speaking to Diamond FM, CZR president Mr Denford Mutashu said that retailers are in no way to blame for the recent changes in prices as these are culminating effects of a market driven economy.

Mr Mutashu said there is a gap which manufacturers need to openly disclose as they are failing to supply the sudden demand from market.

Mr Mutashu said retailers will soon engage Government in dialogue to try and map a way forward as a way of bringing price stability to the market.
