The Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries has backed the stance by the Grain Millers Association to suspend flour supply to biscuit and confectionery baking entities as the country’s flour supplies are now critically low.

CZI national vice president, Richard Chivandire told Diamond fm that confectionery making entities should be patient and let bread producers take priority in getting flour supplies as government is making efforts to stabilize the foreign currency situation in the country.

Meanwhile, Grain Millers Association chairman, Tafadzwa Musarara said suspension will be reviewed after 14 days when local and imported wheat supplies are expected to have improved.
