Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (Czi) President Mr Sifelani Jabangwe says government should allow manufacturers to sell their produce in foreign currency if government cannot provide them with foreign currency they require to secure raw materials outside the country.

Speaking during a confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers (Czr) on pricing crisis breakfasting meeting, Mr Jabangwe said if manufacturers  fails to get foreign currency allocation from the Reserve Bank Of Zimbabwe as well as not allowed to charge in us dollars many companies will close by month end.

Mr jabangwe also said they want the mechanism to convert rtgs balances into us dollars in the transitional stabilization program must be implemented.

Meanwhile wholesaler N. Richards’s Director Mr Archie Dongo said they cannot buy from manufacturers in us dollars because they will be arrested under the law that criminalizes the selling of goods in foreign currency only.

Mr jabangwe then said government must decriminise the law that restrict 3 tier pricing to allow manufacturers and wholesalers freely charge their products in us dollars alone so that they can earn foreign currency.
