The Minister of Information media and broadcasting services Monica Mutsvangwa says, time of polarization in the media is over in Zimbabwe.
Speaking in Harare this morning at the media alliance of Zimbabwe conference Mrs Mutsvangwa added that the ministry is consulting with media houses to build a democratic media space in the country.
Cde Mutsvangwa said the government is tasked with reviewing the Access to information and privacy act, adding that the ministry has begun articulating government policy to promote transparency in government business.
She said government will soon break ZBC's monopoly on television and interventions by the ministry at the institution is bearing fruit .
Meanwhile, 8 radio stations have been licensed.
