Govt to table Cyber Bill

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa  says Zimbabwe is working  on a Cyber Bill which has passed the cabinet committee on legislation and is about to be tabled in Parliament for adoption.

Minister Mutsvangwa said the bill seeks to guide the formulation of Zimbabwe Cyber policy that will ensure that internet and related technologies are used for the good of society and not violate national security.

She added that unmanaged information might lead to terrorism such as that of Boko Haram, Al-shabaab, Al-qaeda as well as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS)who have used information revolution.
