Several aspiring House of Assembly, Senate and Local Government Candidates in this year’s harmonised election from the MDC Alliance in Manicaland have been left unsure of their fate as lack of transparency continues to delay the conclusion of party primaries.

Speaking to Diamond FM, MDC T Chairperson for Manicaland, Mr David Chimhini revealed that Buhera South, Dangamvura-Chikanga, Makoni West and Mutare Central were some of the constituencies that are waiting for a determination from the Party’s National committee.

Meanwhile the MDC-T faction led by Advocate Nelson Chamisa says it is happy with the way the primary elections have been conducted, although it is currently seized with several complains from constituencies that feel they were unfair practices during the elections.

Speaking at a media conference in Harare the party’s acting chairman Mr Morgen Komichi said members who will be found guilty of using violence to win the primary elections face disqualification.
