Manicaland province has appealed for more food aid for cyclone Idai victims.

Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Dr Ellen Gwaradzimba says most of the food aid that has been distributed was targeted at Chimanimani and Chipinge, leaving out other districts such as Buhera, Mutasa and Mutare that have also been affected.

She added that an assessment carried out by the Civil Protection team working with development partners indicates that  more food aid is still required until the next harvest.

At least 41 304 households were affected by the Cyclone in the province
