Manicaland Diocese Anglican Bishop, Erik Ruwona arrested by anti - corruption commission

The Zimbabwe Anti- Corruption Commision says Manicaland Diocese Anglican Bishop, Erik Ruwona has been arrested by officers from the Anti Corruption Commission for allegedly converting a USD700.000.00 loan from Agribank that was purportedly for the construction of St Catherine Girls School Rusape for his personal use.

He is expected to appear at Mutare Magistrate court today.

In a Statement ZACC said:

“ZACC wants to set the record straight on the arrest of the Anglican Bishop Erik Ruwona: he and his accomplices took a loan from Agribank of USD700.000.00 in 2016 purportedly for the construction of St Catherine Girls School Rusape and converted the loan to personal use.
