Mutare City Council says it has issued warning letters to defaulters saying that they risk water disconnections if they do not clear their bills within 48 hours.

City Public Relations Officer Spren Mtiwi said residents should pay up their bills as council is also paying the Zimbabwe National Water Authority for water consumed in the city.

However residents in Chikanga and Dangamvura have  decried that council did not offer services such as refuse collection yet it has billed them over the years for services never rendered.
