Mutare residents have expressed discontent at the poor response by the Fire Brigade to put out an inferno at glow petroleum fuel station along Simon Mazorodze Road  on Monday.

Residents who spoke to diamond FM said the poor emergency response exhibited by City of Mutare endangered the public and nearby  companies.

Speaking to Diamond Fm on condition of anonymity one of the Fire fighters said they came with a back up fire response vehicle but took long to put out the fire that burnt three vehicle as well as the station fuel pumps.

Responding to the matter city of Mutare Spokesperson Mr Spren Mtiwi refuted the claims by public saying their team performed up to standard and that he could not comment on the backup that came from NOIC and residents to move other vehicles.
