NUST founding Vice Chancellor, Professor Phineas Makhurane declared a national hero

The late National University of Science and Technology (NUST) founding Vice Chancellor, Professor Phineas Makhurane, has been declared a national hero and will be buried at the National Heroes Acre on Saturday.

Professor Makhurane, who died on Saturday, was born on the 13th of January 1939 in the Gungwe area of Gwanda.

He did his primary education at Maduma and Manama schools before moving to Mnene, Chegato, Zimuto and Fletcher High School for his secondary education.
