Opposition political parties in the 2018 elections have announced a list of demands that they say the Zimbabwe electoral commission should resolve ahead of the July 30 election.

Addressing a media conference in Kadoma, Nyaradzo Charidza of the Alliance for Peoples Agenda who read a joint statement of MDC Alliance, MDCT COD, and PRC said they are demanding that ZEC releases a hard copy of the voters roll, the names of polling officers, testing of the indelible ink and a fresh print of ballot papers.

Asked by the media if they will boycott the election, presidential election agent for Advocate Nelson Chamisa of the MDC Alliance Jameson Timba said they will not boycott the election but want ZEC to give in to their demands.

However, ZEC has already said that their operations are guided by the law and not by political parties.
