Minister of State for Manicaland Senator Monica Mutsvangwa says political leaders in Province are pleased with the increased call for peace by churches and other faith based organizations.

Speaking during a meeting of the Council of Churches in Mutare, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa said, in order for peace to prevail political parties, the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and other players should fully play their part in preserving and protecting the will of the people.

She also urged churches to avoid being drawn into partisan political activities that can compromise their integrity and moral authority.
