The British Ambassador to Zimbabwe says experience from the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo shows that there is a real risk that other preventable diseases such as Measles and Typhoid may be overlooked as nations focus on the threat of Coronavirus.

Speaking to Diamond FM, Ambassador   Melanie Robinson said the UK Government is working through its United Nations partners to support the public health sector in Zimbabwe to deliver the normal child vaccinations safely.

She added that later this week, the United Kingdom and the Vaccine Alliance, GAVI will host a Virtual Global Vaccine Summit to raise funds for child vaccinations across the world.
