Horticultural processing plant set to benefit Hauna women

local Josephine NyamwanzaThe horticultural processing plant set to be constructed in Hauna, Mutasa District under the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small to Medium Enterprises is expected to benefit 80% of women in the area. Manicaland provincial development officer in the Ministry Mr Gabriel Jaji said the project is mainly aimed at empowering women in remote areas, as it creates employment and enables them to contribute towards the broader national economic framework. To contribute towards the achievement of Vision 2030, the Ministry is mandated to empower women, communities, cooperatives and small and medium enterprises through different interventions.
