Farmers under Nyakomba Irrigation Scheme in Nyanga District have embarked on cash crop farming with aimed to target export markets. Nyanga District Agritex Officer Nomatter Manunure said there is need for promotion of contract farming with international markets as most farmers rely only on local markets for their produce. Nyakomba is among the successful irrigation schemes in the country, whose modernization and expansion will increase productivity.
