Confederation of Zimbabwe Retailers President, Denford Mutashu has called for collective fight against the parallel forex market, which he has attributed to sky rocketing of basic commodity prices. His sentiments follow a spike in bread price to $200, which he attributed to forex dealers whom he blamed for destabilizing the local currency. Prices of basic commodities have spiked beyond the reach of ordinary citizens in the first two weeks of the year 2022, leaving many with questions as to how the economy will perform through the year.
