City Director of housing and community services Mrs Emma Chivaraidze-Mandiziba says non-revenue water in Mutare has dropped from 68% to 62% following adoption and use of the Local Authority Digital System in monitoring day to day business of council. Addressing guests during a visit of the European Union delegation to Mutare Mrs Mandiziba said work still needs to be done to further bring done losses being incurred from non-revenue water to 25% with aid from the new electronic system. The revelation indicates that currently 38% of the 92 mega litres of water the City of Mutare produces on a daily basis goes for consumption city-wide.
