Hectarage for this winter wheat cropping season in Middle Sabi is expected to increase following joint ventures established by commercial farmers in the area. Middle Sabi farmer’s Chairperson Skumbuzo Todhlana said the joint ventures have attracted investors who have resolved a long existent challenge of shortage of farming machinery as they provided Tractors and combine harvesters for the farmers. Government has since encouraged commercial farmers to enter into contract farming and joint ventures to enhance farming activities.
