Registered tobacco growers for the 2021/2022 season have increased by 15 % in Manicaland compared to the same period last year.

Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board Provincial Manager Mr Emmanuel Matsvaire said that, in terms of preparation, growers have already started planting the irrigated tobacco crop and managing their seed beds. Tobacco is among the most economically important non-food crops in Zimbabwe, earning millions of dollars annually.
