Cotton growers in ward 31 Makoni District who had a late crop planting during the 2021/22 summer cropping season have started picking process. Zimbabwe Farmers Union district Chairperson Charles Chingono said despite the crop having affected by the dry spells, the rains received in the district renewed the hope for a few farmers who ventured into cotton farming this season. He further commended the Cottco Company for distributing chemicals to control pests for farmers not to incur losses.
