At least 70% of farmers registered under Pfumvudza in Manicaland have been trained on the proper concepts of the program in preparation of the 2022-23 summer cropping season. Manicaland Agritex Livestock and Crops Officer Mr Cephas Mlambo said farmers have already started receiving inputs through local Grain Marketing Board depots, adding that inputs are being distributed according to their agro-ecological regions. He further urged farmers to speed up the land preparations and gathering of mulching before the onset of the early rains.
