Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission has embarked on a 7-day rural anti-corruption campaign to sensitize communities on ways of reporting and curbing corruption in all the seven districts of Manicaland. ZACC Manager for Public Education Dr Munyaradzi Magiga said the campaign will raise awareness among the rural populace, empowering them with knowledge, skills and strategies in mitigating corruption as well as publicizing ZACC and its mandate in all remote areas. Dr Magiga further dismissed social media reports that ZACC has become a catch and release organization emphasizing that accused persons can only be convicted if there is enough evidence. In 2020, President Mnangagwa launched the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, a policy document which explains how individuals, institutions, both public and private, can participate in the grand fight against corruption.
