The lotteries and gaming board has been challenged to embrace new inventions and use of technology in betting in a manner that does not jeopardize the country’s standing in as far as money laundering is concerned. Speaking during official opening of the lotteries and gaming board strategic workshop review in Mutare over the weekend, Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister, Hon Kazembe Kazembe said adopting new technology in betting widens the sector’s revenue and stakeholders base. He added that Zimbabwe is currently in the grey zone as far as the Financial Action Task Force, adding that the government is working hard to comply with the expectations to move out of the zone.
