Stakeholders in the mining sector in Nyanga district have been urged to plough back in communities they operate in, to ensure local people benefit from their local resources. Nyanga North Member of Parliament Honourable Chido Sanyatwe said local people are not benefitting much from gold being mined in the area, further saying some of the miners are not doing the land reclamation after use of mine posing dangers to local people and their livestock. She further encouraged registration of small scale miners to curb leakages of gold into our neighboring country Mozambique.
