Planted sorghum in Chipinge South Ward 22 has been destroyed by quelea birds despite it being affected by intensive high temperatures experienced during this summer cropping season. Manicaland Cotton Commodity Chairperson Albert Mhlanga said the situation has brought in less hope to farmers who were expecting a bumper harvest, saying they will harvest enough for their own consumption.
