Investors who intend to industrialize rural areas have been urged to consult and seek permission form traditional leaders who are the custodians of communal land. Finance and Economic Development Deputy Minister, Honourable Clemence Chiduwa made the encouragement while addressing a stakeholder meeting in Makoni District recently, saying communal land is in the jurisdiction of the traditional leadership who should be consulted during the commercialization of land. This follows concerns raised by some investors that local authorities are taking long before availing land for investment purposes in Manicaland.
